On this page, we will tell a free partition extend tool, with which you can reallocate disk space from D drive to C drive on Windows 11/10/8/7 without losing data.
If there is no free space on C drive (system partition), your computer will run slowly. In this situation, you may want to allocate fee space from other partitions like D drive to extend C drive space.

Step 2:
Move the arrows right forward to shrink D drive, and then you can see some unallocated space right after the C drive. (Shrinking D volume with Disk Management will produce the unallocated space to the right side of D drive. That's why we recommend free tool Partition Resizer which is easier to use.)
Note: Do move the border of the D partition to the right side, and then unallocated space will be produced adjacent to C drive.

How to move unallocated space adjacent to c drive? -> Move d drive without losing data with free tool Partition Resizer. And then the unallocated space will be contiguous to c drive.
How to move unallocated space from D to C drive? -> Deleting D volume is the only option in Disk Management/Diskpart cmd.
After deleting D drive, then there will be unallocated space after C drive in Disk Managment which can extend c volume.
When C drive has FAT32 file system, Disk Management or diskpart can still not extend c drive even when there is unallocated space contiguous to the c drive.
Why? Disk Management can only extend c drive when there is unallocated space right close to c drive and which has NTFS file system.

Here is a video that shows how to delete recovery partition with cmd 'delete partition override' and delete d drive to produce unallocated space to extend c drive without anysoftware but just Disk Management
The problem: If you have installed programs on D drive, some of these program will no longer work even if you copied and moved them before the deletion. The os will no longer run a recovery when the recovery partition has been deleted or moved.
In order to move free space from D drive, you need to shrink the D drive to squeeze free space from D drive first of all. The free space will show as unallocated space and then you can add the unallocated space to increase the size of C drive.
